The .338 Federal cartridge was launched as a joint effort between Federal and Sako, and Federal encouraged other firearm manufacturers to produce rifles in this caliber, including Ruger and Kimber. Unfortunately, as of July 2012, most of these offerings have been dropped.

I actually own an M77 Hawkeye in this this caliber, manufactured in 2008. It's a great shooter.
